Microstory 149 – Match the following

I observed in the last few months that my younger daughter was not enthusiastic about online classes so I decided to be a proxy in one of those social science classes. That was a new education for me as I got to know about the number of dams in our country. On-screen was the match the following of the dams with the states and I failed miserably. Thank God nobody was watching except my wife. Later I debriefed my daughter and she actually knew all the answers!
Microstory 150 – Design your day with laugh lines

I was sharing some tips with one of my close friends. I was mentioning to him that we should always laugh every day. How can we design a day punctuated with laughter? I was sharing some of my hacks. One is to have a favorite playlist of comic videos ( short ones which are very punchy) and also have some book where you get to write some funny quotes when you see it appearing elsewhere. Sharing two of my favorites from the last couple of weeks:
Early one morning, a mother went in to wake up her son.
‘Wake up, son. It’s time to go to school!’‘But why, Mom? I don’t want to go.’
‘Give me two reasons why you don’t want to go.’‘Well, the kids hate me for one, and the teachers hate me, too!’
‘Oh, that’s no reason not to go to school. Come on now and get ready.’
‘Give me two reasons why I should go to school.’
‘Well, for one, you’re 52 years old. And for another, you’re the Headteacher!’
