Cold and Play

I was sitting on the floor, resting my back on a folded mattress in my room. I was busy and occupied with something serious on my phone. My elder daughter was calling and it appeared on the screen. I had to discard the call. It is so easy on a smartphone just with a clean swipe. After all, I didn’t want to get distracted and become a 12th-level failure in that first attempt.

It all happened when I took the flight on a cold chilly night. The person sitting next to me after securing his seat, immediately took out his phone and started the game. Initially, I dismissed it as child’s play. I had taken out my ” Clear Thinking” book out for a read. I noticed that I was getting distracted and decided to have one final hard look at what my fellow passenger was doing. I could make out from his facial expression that he was coolly enjoying the game. At times he was cursing himself for the wrong hits and misses. That meant I didn’t even flip one page of the book. At the end of the flight as the pilot announced that we are about to descend I asked the most important question, ” Please tell me the name of the game”. He was kind enough to share it instantly. We landed and after getting the signal the first thing I did at 2 AM was to download the app. I wanted to get it certified by my co-passenger that it’s the right version. He gave his nod of approval and that was it. I came out of the airport, it was cold. I got into the car and after telling the director to take the toll road I immersed in the play. I knew that there would be different levels in any game. After all, we haven’t forgotten those days in the initial days when I had played solitaire.

The feeling that you get when all the stacks are arranged is equivalent to runners high. So this time around I was so addicted, that in the car that I didn’t even once look out of the window. I noticed after reaching home that I have cleared 2 levels up. At 3.30AM its a new high. It was now up to me to show to my family the next day . They all had a good laugh with my newfound enthusiasm for the game. My younger daughter even went to the extent of giving me support to take the game to the next level. As I blog, I have finished level 15 and I’m gearing up for the next levels. So presenting to you the most addictive parking game around: Car Out! If you love the car simulation genre and want a completely different game, this game is for you! There’s lots of fun to be had, as well as lots of free parking challenges.

Later that evening when I spoke to my daughter, I explained to her my new fascination and how much I was engaged and enjoying this new hobby. She was talking about Coldplay and listing all their major hits. In that, she particularly made a special mention of “Hymn for the weekend“. I went through the lyrics but did not listen to them carefully. But this time around my newfound game addiction can be likened to a part of the lyrics from that song.

Oh, an angel sent from up above
You know you make my world light up
When I was down when I was hurt
You came to lift me up

Car Out” has carved out a niche in early 2025. A sense of newness. The inner child inside you needs to come out and give you that bliss. I am dedicating this blog to that gentleman whom I will never see or meet again. It was a very cold night, below 10 degrees Celsius. I found a game that is giving me dopamine hits. Games can help you find a very different beat in your life.
